STUNNING REPRODUCTION ALL BISQUE FRENCH JUMEAU ON A MUSICAL BASE
This is a stunning reproduction French Jumeau doll made by a very talented doll artist. She was made in 1999 and signed and dated by the doll artist but can’t quite read her name on the back of the head. The doll itself measures approximately 10.5″ but with the base the complete item is 15″ in height counting her hat.
She has a bisque socket head and has been painted beautifully with stunning stationary set blue eyes and delicately painted facial features. She has pierced ears with little gold earrings and a quality blonde wig in cascading curls.
Her body is all bisque and strung well. She is on a doll stand that has been attached to a musical base that plays “Send in the Clowns” and rotates. This base is ceramic, light fired and then painted.
Her outfit is exquisite and made from antique cotton lace with a lace insert on the bodice and lace and ribbon trims. Underneath she has a cotton petticoat and pantaloons also trimmed with antique lace, black stockings and black French style shoes with embellishments on the front. She also has a hat that is pinned onto her. To cover the base of the stand she has a crocheted doiley made from silk cotton thread.
This lovely doll is display ready and a nice addition to any collection and priced well under what she originally cost. She is in perfect condition.
