This is a 1930’s Shirley Temple doll made by Ideal (USA) in the 1930’s era. She is approximately 18″ in height. Her markings on the back of her head and her body are nice and clear. She has had no restoration at all apart from she may have been re-strung a long time ago.

As can be seen in the photos her composition is in very good condition with only minimal crazing and wear despite she has been a doll that was played with.

She has her original eyes which have not crackled and just a little dull and she retains most of her original mohair eyelashes and her eyes open and close with ease. Her red lip painting is a little worn and her eyebrow painting is fine. She retains her original row of teeth and a tongue behind. There is some crazing as shown in the photos.

Her mohair blonde wig is original but has lost most of the ringlets now but is still so much better than a replaced wig.

Her frock is not original and is a cotton red and white frock with lace trims. Underneath she has some pants and also has socks and shoes.

This lovely Shirley is ready to display and a nice sized example.
