CUTE ANTIQUE GERMAN PAINTED BISQUE HEUBACH KOPPELSDORF 320.12/0 – 12″

$150.00

This is a lovely desirable antique doll that was made by the German firm of Heubach Koppelsdorf around the 1920’s era. She is a painted bisque doll and stands in height just over 12″ (32cm).

She has no damage and her lovely painted bisque socket head is nice and bright. The painted bisque dolls were fired differently giving them a much softer look than other bisque dolls and often likened to composition. She is the 320.12 mould and her markings are incised clearly on the back of her head.

She has her original blue glass sleeping eyes with most of her original “real” eyelashes intact but her eyes stick so remain in the open position. The original pate and mohair wig are stuck down firmly so I am leaving them as do not want to remove any of the paint from the head. She has multi stroked eyebrows and shading above her eyes. Her open mouth reveals 2 little upper teeth and a red tongue behind. She has some minor rub marks on her cheeks.

Her toddler composition body is in lovely condition with no issues and she is strung well.

She comes wearing a vintage pink satin like frock trimmed with lace and underneath she has a flannel and cotton petticoat (some holes), pants, socks and homemade leather shoes that have been added later. She also has been given a pale pink ruched bonnet.

She is a lovely example of a painted bisque doll and ready to display.
