This boxed toy china set set in its original box is not in great condition and therefore priced cheaply. It would date to the 1930’s or earlier.

It is Japanese made and there is considerable wear to the hand painting on the pieces and the china is poor quality with black specks and imperfections. The sugar basin is also missing the lid to it. It was obviously a mass produced set at the time it was made as these specks and imperfections have occured in the factory making of it.

The plates themselves measure across approximately 9.5cm as an example of the sizing.

There are 3 cups & saucers along with the teapot with a lid, the sugar basin (missing lid) and a little creamer.

The box is in poor shape but is original. The sides to the lid are missing and it is likely to have been in a damp storage area at some time in its life and has some warping. The base the tea set sits in is more solid but still in aged condition.
