This lovely character baby would date to around the 1920’s era and is no doubt taken from the German made Armand Marseille Dream Baby 351 but is ENGLISH made.

It is a painted bisque (or composition headed) doll with a domed head with sleeping brown eyes and 2 lower teeth in her open mouth. She is marked on the back of her head with “British Made”. It was not uncommon for many firms to use other firms moulds.

The head is in perfect condition with no damage and there is only slight wear to her painted lips.

She is on her original bent limbed baby body that is in lovely condition and she is strung well.

She has been dressed in a lovely baby’s gown trimmed with lace with pin tucks and a lace bonnet. Underneath she has a flannel petticoat and pants and also some knitted socks.

To protect the eyes in posting I will lift up the head and secure the stringing with some dowel. This way I can stuff the head to protect the eyes in transit and the new owner will then just have to secure the hook back onto the elastic.
