These are 2 Japanese celluloid dolls from the 1930’s – 1940’s era. These originally belonged to Lila Rait, Australia author of “Through the Nursery Window”.

The first one is half a celluloid doll that has been made up into a tea cosy. The total length with the tea cosy is approximately 20cm. She has elastic strung arms.

The second one is a carnival type celluloid doll with her original outfit and glitter. She measures in length approximately 13.5cm to the top of her glittery head piece. She has elastic strung arms that are loose with age and she has a dent in her forehead.
