ARTIST MADE REPRODUCTION ALL BISQUE GERMAN JDK “HILDA” BABY DOLL – 9″ HEIGHT
This reproduction doll was made by an unknown doll artist and she was made in 1988. The initials of the maker is incised on the doll.
She is a reproduction of a German JD Kestner Hilda and the photos do not do her justice!
She has a bisque head with stationary blue eyes and an open mouth with molded teeth. Her eyebrows are stroked wonderfully and she has delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes. She has lovely subtle blush to her cheeks. Her wig is blonde and a toddler wig that suits her perfectly.
Her body is bisque and is in lovely condition but does need to be re-strung as she is a little loose.
She comes dressed in a lovely cream frock with pleating on the bodice and a ruffle around the hem and it does up with tiny buttons down the back. It does have some age stains so needs a gentle soak. She has a matching petticoat, pantaloons and bonnet that ties up with ribbon and there are ribbon inserts in her under clothing.
This artist made doll is bargain priced and represents many hours of work.
