This is a larger sized Penny Wooden doll and these dolls were usually made in Germany and would date to the 1900’s era. They are also known as Dutch dolls.

They were always crudely carved and jointed with little wooden pins. This one is all original for sure and a lovely example of these dolls. Her original price of 6 shillings is in pencil on her back.

Some people do dress them but I like them in their natural state.
