This is a lovely cabinet sized doll that was produced by Morimura Bros in Japan around the 1920’s era. She stands in height approximately 16″.

She has a bisque shoulder plate head that is free of damage. She is marked clearly with “5, the MB Logo, Japan” on the back of her shoulderplate. She has her original blue glass sleeping eyes with most of the eyelid wax and original eyelashes intact. Her eyebrows are multi stroked and she has delicately stroked lower eyelashes as well as the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils. Her open mouth reveals a row of original teeth and she has a dimple in her chin. Her blushing is lovely and she has no marks to make mention of. Her wig appears to be human hair and is original but a little untidy and her cardboard pate is also original.

She is on her original leather jointed body that is in lovely condition with half bisque arms that have no damage.

She has been dressed in a lovely drop waisted frock with trims of pearl buttons, ribbons and lace and has a matching bonnet. Underneath she has antique pantaloons, stockings and shoes.

This lovely antique doll is display ready and quite pretty and a lovely example of these sought after Japanese bisque dolls that are getting hard to find.
