This antique doll was made in Germany by the firm of Schoenau & Hoffmeister (SPBH) and is the 1909 mould and made around that same time. She is approximately 18″ in height.

Her bisque socket head is free from any damage but does have some minor flaws in her factory making which could occur. Her markings are clear on the back of her head. She has her original blue glass sleeping eyes with her eyelashes intact but some repairing of her eyelid paint has been done a long time ago. She has multi stroked eyebrows and an open mouth with a couple of teeth and blushed cheeks. Her long dark auburn wig is a replacement, as is her pate which have not been glued down so that the head can be stuffed to protect the eyes in transit but are easy to pop back on with water based glue such as aquadhere.

She is on her all original composition ball jointed body that is in good order considering her age with some scraping of the paint on her arms as can be seen in the photographs and unseen when dressed so I have not re-painted them. Her stringing is good. She has some teeny chips to the ends of some fingers but just shows she was a played with doll.

She comes wearing a lovely pale pink frock with a net type material over it and trimmed with lace. Her sleeves were turned up as were a little long. Underneath she has a vintage petticoat, pantaloons, stockings and shoes that tie up with ribbon.

This doll is display ready and a lovely, cheaper antique doll to have amongst any collection.
