UNKNOWN ANTIQUE GERMAN HEADED DOLL ON REPRODUCTION BODY – 11.5″
This is an antique German headed doll on a reproduction body so priced accordingly.
The antique head is marked with 60, 2/o but I do not know who made this doll and could have been one of many factories during the 1900’s era. She stands “as is” approximately 11.5″ in height.
The bisque socket head does have a repair at the bottom of her neck that is hard to see. She has then been put on to a reproduction shoulderplate.
She has her original stunning grey/blue glass eyes that are set stationary. Her other features are hand painted beautifully and she has an open mouth with a row of original teeth. Her wig is a replacement.
Her body is a combination of cloth and bisque arms and legs appropriate for the head and in lovely condition. The half bisque legs have painted black boots.
She comes dressed in a pink satin frock trimmed with cotton lace and velvet ribbon with a matching petticoat and pantaloons.
This is a lovely “beginners” doll and priced cheaply.
