This is a quality doll and this doll cost me a lot more than my asking price when purchased new back in the 1990’s at the Liverpool Doll Show.

She is a reproduction Jumeau Milette in the lovely size of 10 1/2″. She was made by an Australian/German Doll artist who went under the name of Aria who made the most beautiful dolls with her husband and also completely dressed them down to the finest of details. She is signed by the artist who no longer makes dolls at all and hasn’t for quite a few years. She was made in 1996.

The doll is all bisque and fully jointed and her stringing is good. She has glass stationary set eyes and her painted features have been done superbly. She is a closed mouthed doll. Her blonde mohair wig is hand made.

Her stunning outfit was also made by the maker and is a lovely silk frock trimmed with antique cotton lace and also has some floral embellishments. It does up with teeny buttons down the back and has a matching ruched bonnet that ties with ribbon. Underneath she has a cotton petticoat trimmed with lace and matching pantaloons. Her socks were hand knitted and her shoes hand made and they tie with ribbons. The silk frock does have some minor age marks on it now but she is 29 years old! The maker used to sell these outfits (without dolls) and they were always around the $80+ mark to purchase which makes the actual doll very cheap!
