This is a stunning reproduction French Bru that was made by a very talented South Australian doll artist by the name of Miriam Coulter in 1991. She is 22″ in height and a quality doll with no damage at all. The doll has been signed by the maker.

She has a bisque socket head with blue spiral glass eyes set stationary. Her eyebrows are multi stroked and she has delicately painted upper and lower eyelashes, as well as the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and nostrils. Her closed mouth is painted beautifully and she has lovely blushed cheeks and shading and a little dimple in her chin. She has pierced ears. Her long mohair wig is a quality wig and made for these Bru reproduction dolls.

She is on a ball jointed composition body that is in beautiful condition and strung well. These bodies alone cost around $200+ when they were purchased new.

I have dressed her in a quality ivory silk frock that is trimmed with embroidered work and with pin tucks, ribbon and lace. She has a matching bonnet, petticoat and pantaloons, knitted socks and lace up shoes to match. To finish her off she has been given some antique glass bead earrings.
