This is a stunning Armand Marseille 990 Character Baby that was made in Germany in the 1900’s and I will be sorry to part with this baby. She measures in length 23″. She is from my own collection but have another so can part with this one.

Her bisque socket head is in beautiful condition with a chubby face and gorgeous colouring. There are only the tiniest rub marks on her cheeks that are barely worth mentioning as hardly seen. She has multi stroked eyebrows, delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes and the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and also her nostrils. She has an open mouth with 2 upper teeth and a tongue behind and complete with a double chin and dimple. Her markings are clear on the back of her head. Her blonde wig is a replacement. She has stunning deep brown glass eyes that open and close with ease. The head will be stuffed to protect the eyes in transit and it is an easy job to re-attach the pate and wig using PVA. Please ask if you need instructions on how to do this. There is a small factory flaw on one ear (see photo).

She is on her original bent limbed baby body that is in lovely condition with just minor wear from a doll that was played with. She is strung well. She has had a ma-ma in her back that is no longer there but has the plate.

She is dressed in an antique baby’s cotton gown that is embroidered on the bodice and ties and underneath has an antique petticoat as well as pants and later soft shoes. She has a gorgeous pink smocked later bonnet and comes with her own little bear. Her clothing alone represents over $100 in value.

This beautiful big character baby is ideal to display in a large pram or high chair and will really stand out in any collection.
