This antique doll is from my own personal collection and has been a much loved doll. She stands in height 28″ so a lovely larger sized doll.

She was made by the German firm of Simon & Halbig who are reknowned for their quality dolls of the time and she would date to the 1900’s era. Her markings are clear on the back of her head and she is the sought after 1079 mold.

She has a bisque socket head with no cracks or hairlines and the only minor faults are a couple of wig pulls from where her original wig was pulled off (prior to me owning her) and some chips where her ears are pierced which were often caused when little girls of the era changed their dollies earrings.

She has the most stunning brown glass eyes that are her original eyes but have been set stationary at some time in her life. She has raised, multi stroked eyebrows and delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes as well as the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and also her nostrils. She has an open mouth with her original teeth and a dimple in her chin. Her gorgeous blonde wig is a human hair replacement wig that suits her perfectly and her pate is also a replacement. I have removed these so that the head can still be stuffed to protect the plaster/eyes in transit and the pate/wig can be easily glued back down using any PVA (water based) glue and is the only glue that should be used as is easily removed if necessary. The new owner could clean her head off more if they wanted to but I have never done so as was covered by the wig. A human hair wig of this size would normally cost alone well over $100.

She is on her original composition ball jointed body that is strung well. The body is in good condition and just has marks and wear as you would expect from a doll of this age that was played with.

She comes wearing a quality outfit that was sourced several years ago from Theriaults (USA) and again was over $120 alone at the time without the postage cost! It is a beautiful red Tussah Silk Sailor Suit in two pieces with the classic pleated skirt dress with a silk top and cotton sleeveless top. It has a cotton and lace trimmed middy collar and the matching cap is cotton and red silk trim. Underneath she has a vintage petticoat, pantaloons, stockings and home made pink shoes that tie up with ribbon. At some time in her life I made her some earrings which will come with her as shown.

This gorgeous doll is just ready to display again and needs nothing done to her other than being put on a stand. This sized doll still currently sells regularly for over $1000USD so she is priced well.
