RARE GERMAN SCHUCO TUMBLING ACROBAT MOHAIR MINIATURE BEAR – 1920’s-1930’s era
This is a hard to find antique German Schuco Tumbling Acrobat bear made from mohair with a metal casing inside.
He is is in working condition but his key either needs replacing or adjusting as it does not grip to turn to wind him up anymore. When working he turns himself over and over and is just a wonderful example of these sought after miniature bears.
He has been a much loved toy and as such his mohair is sparse and it is difficult to see what his original colour was but appears to have been either red or brown. He retains his felt paw pads that are aged but good condition and has an embroidered nose and mouth. His little black eyes are glass. He has the remains of his original ribbon around his neck.
These delightful bears are wonderful for an antique doll to hold.
His overall length is approximately 6″ with his arms up.
