PAIR OF VINTAGE DUTCH DOLLS “DOVINA MADE IN ROTTERDAM, HOLLAND”
These are a lovely pair of vintage dolls that were made by Dovina in Rotterdam, Holland around the 1950’s era I believe and selling as described.
Both dolls stand in height 10 – 11″ and were sold as a pair. They are made from a hard plastic or tortulon type material.
The boy has had a new red felt top made for him exactly as his old moth eaten one was and is gorgeous. His felt black pants has the Dovina embroidered label attached towards the bottom and I could only see one small hole in the back of them. His original cap has some small holes mostly on the top. He has black stockings and his original wooden clogs on his feet and a little handkerchief pokes out the side of his pants. He has lovely blue sleeping eyes with his original eyelashes in tact and a blonde wig.
The matching girl has original clothing that is in good condition with some fading to her blue felt. She has an apron over the top with a windmill design on it and has her original Dutch cap and carries wooden buckets over her shoulders. She unfortunately no longer has her clogs but has a red bead necklace around her neck. She also has lovely blue sleeping eyes with her original eyelashes in tact and a blonde wit in plaits down each side.
These are a lovely pair of dolls in good condition.
