This is a stunning antique doll that is 31″ in height and was made by the German firm of Simon & Halbig and would date to the 1900’s. She only has 1 fault on her forehead which will be mentioned below and is a stunning larger sized antique doll.

Her bisque socket head is free from damage but she obviously had a rubbed area on her forehead which has been non-professionally painted over and is hard to see in the photos but I have photographed this area. I have back lit the head to ensure there were no cracks or hairlines.

She has her original brown glass sleeping eyes with her “real” mohair eyelashes intact and most of her eyelid wax/paint but I do believe at some time in her life it was patched/touched up as it is uneven. She has raised multi stroked eyebrows and delicately painted lower eyelashes. She has the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils and has an open mouth with her original row of teeth. She has pierced ears.

Her brown mohair wig appears to be original to her, as is the cardboard pate and it is a beautiful wig that just needs securing down again with PVA glue as they have been removed to stuff the head to protect the eyes in transit.

She is on her original ball jointed composition body that is in lovely condition with some minor areas touched up and she is strung well and retains the painted red marks between fingers etc.

She comes wearing a gorgeous pink silk blend frock trimmed heavily with gorgeous lace over it with a matching bonnet. Underneath she has a vintage full petticoat, half petticoat and matching pantaloons She has knitted socks and soft felt shoes that have some holes in them and slight wear.

This doll has a beautiful face and ready to display “as is” and will really stand out in a collection.
