HARDER TO FIND SMALL SIZED ARMAND MARSEILLE 390 – 10″. DRESSED BEAUTIFULLY!

$175.00

This is an antique Armand Marseille 390 that was made in Germany in the early 1900’s. She is a much harder size to find than the larger dolls and highly sought after.

Her bisque socket head has no damage and is clearly incised on the back of the head with Armand Marseille, Germany, 390, A 7/0 M. She has brown sleeping eyes with her eyelid wax intact and has delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes. One of her pupils sits down a little more than the other. She has single stroked eyebrows and an open mouth with a row of little teeth and a tiny dimple in her chin. Her mohair brunette wig is original to her (complete with crooked stitched part) and is in good condition but sparse at the back. The pate is also original. I have eased these up at the back to stuff the head for posting to protect the eyes/plaster in transit. She retains her original cream ribbon in her hair.

Her composition jointed body is all original and in lovely condition and this doll has not seen a lot of play time. The stringing is a little loose but dressed it is not noticeable and I have left her like this is. She also has some wire that attaches to the stringing and hooks over the top of the rim of the head.

Her outfit was a very expensive one ($85) and is divine and totally hand made. It is made from a fine ivory coloured cotton voile with inserted lace and lace trims around the hem and collar over the bodice and also lace around the sleeves. It was completed with some hand embroidered flowers on the bodice and does up with teeny buttons down the back. It has a ribbon tie around the waist. Underneath she has a matching petticoat and pantaloons. She also has knitted cream socks and wonderful cream shoes that tie up with ribbons with flower embellishments on the toes.

This gorgeous smaller sized antique doll is display ready.
