HARD TO FIND ANTIQUE GERMAN TREBOR DOLL IN MOSTLY ANTIQUE CLOTHING – 20″ HEIGHT

$295.00

This is an antique doll that is considered relatively rare and one that is not often found. She is a Trebor and marked clearly on the back of her head with “Trebor, Germany, 22, P 3 M”. This doll is attributed to the maker Robert Carl, Porzellanfabrik Mengersgereuth. Trebor is Robert spelt backwards!

She stands in height 20″ and is a lovely dolly faced doll.

Her bisque socket head has no damage. She retains her original blue glass sleeping eyes with her eyelid wax intact. She has multi stroked eyebrows, delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes and the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils. She has an open mouth with her original row of top teeth. Her cheek blushing is lovely and bright. Her blonde mohair wig is a replacement, as is her pate. This will need securing by her new owner as they are removed to protect the eyes in transit by stuffing the head.

Her composition/wooden body is original to her and is in good condition and the stringing is also fine. The torso is a different material to the rest of the body but is totally correct.

She comes wearing antique clothing, some of which may be original. She has an antique frock trimmed with cotton laces that is in great condition and possibly made for the doll after purchasing her. Her gauze type petticoat may also be original and she has vintage/antique pantaloons and later socks and shoes. Her lovely bonnet is also antique and trimmed with gorgeous lace.

This is a lovely, hard to find doll and will delight any collector.
