This antique doll stands in height 23″ and considered a hard to find doll.

She is just marked with a W, 121, 4 1/2 and my research does lead me to believe she was made by Theodor Wendt around the 1900 era.

She has a bisque socket head with an open mouth with 4 teeth. She has sleeping blue glass eyes with her upper and lower lashes painted as well as “real” upper eyelashes that are original to her. She has the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils. She has multi stroked eyebrows and a dimple in her chin. The head has no damage and is nicely blushed. She has a lovely human hair wig in curls that is possibly original to her and her antique cardboard pate. The wig has a couple of lovely gold plaited pins on each side.

She is on her original ball jointed composition body that is strung well and the body is stamped Germany. It is in good condition.

She wears a stunning antique cotton frock trimmed with cotton lace and ribbon inserts (added later). It has some inserted lace and does up with a button down the back. Underneath she has a later cotton top and pantaloons trimmed with lace, stockings and buckle up black shoes.
