This gorgeous character baby was produced by the German firm of Armand Marseille around the 1920 era and was one of their most popular dolls. She is from my own personal collection but it is time to find her a new home.

She measures in total length approximately 22″ not taking in to account her bent limbed baby body.

Her bisque domed head is free from any damage and the colouring is just lovely with nothing to mention other than a small spot on her left cheek that was missed during her firing back in her original factory making. She has sleeping blue eyes with her eyelid wax intact, delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes, single stroked eyelashes and the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and also her nostrils. She has an open mouth with 2 upper teeth and a tongue behind. Her moulded hair is just wonderful and it is lovely to see these character babies with moulded hair as many were made without it.

Her cloth body is original and in beautiful condition. I doubt this doll was played with by the condition it is in. Her feet are shaped with cardboard soles and her original ma-ma is in working condition. Her celluloid hands have no damage.

She comes wearing a long antique white cotton Christening gown trimmed with lace. Underneath she has an antique petticoat with more modern pants and knitted bootees. She also wears a vintage woollen cap (some holes to be repaired). Her vest appears original.

This is a BEAUTIFUL character baby that displays so well and I hope she finds a nice new home. She is ideal for displaying in a large pram or high chair.
