This lovely French doll is an antique head on a reproduction body as described.

The bisque socket head is free from any damage and clearly marked on the back of the head. She is an SFBJ 60 mold. She has her original blue glass sleeping eyes with her original “real” lashes intact as well as delicately stroked lower eyelashes. Her eyebrows are multi stroked. She has an open mouth with teeth and a little dimple in her chin. Her blush is lovely and even with only very minor marks from a doll that was played with. The head would date to around the 1900 period. Her strawberry blonde wig in ringlets is a replacement, as is her cardboard pate. Both have been removed to stuff the head to protect the eyes in transit.

Her body is a reproduction composition body that is in lovely condition and strung well. There are some bubbles in the composition that occured during the pouring of the parts but is minor and all hidden under her clothing.

She comes wearing a lovely fine cotton voile frock with pin tucks, cotton lace and ribbons. Underneath she has a matching petticoat, pants, stockings and buckle up shoes.

This lovely French doll is ready to display and a beautiful cabinet sized doll. An all original SFBJ 60 of this size usually brings around the $800 mark on RubyLane and often more but as she has a reproduction body I have priced her accordingly.
