This gorgeous antique doll is highly desirable and is an early JD Kestner 168 (E Series). She has the highly desirable square cut teeth which also indicates she was likely made prior to 1900. She stands in height 22″.

Her bisque socket head is free from any damage and only has some old wig residue at the top of her head. Her old wig was barely there but will be included with the doll and has part of the original plaster pate still attached to it and forms part of her history. She has clear markings on the back of her head. She has very minor rub marks on each cheek that are barely worth mentioning.

She has her original sleeping brown glass eyes with most of the eyelid wax intact along with multi stroked eyebrows and delicately painted upper and lower eyelashes. She has the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils. She has an open mouth with 4 square cut teeth and a little dimple in her chin as well as nicely exposed ears. She has a vintage auburn replaced wig in mohair with a bow in it and I will also include a replacement pate. These have not been attached so I can stuff the head to protect the eyes in transit.

Her composition ball jointed body is original to her and is in lovely condition with no issues and is strung well. It has a stamp on the body.

She comes wearing a fabulous pink frock trimmed with antique cotton lace that suits her perfectly. It does up with little buttons down the back and was a very expensive frock when purchased new. Underneath she also has a cotton petticoat trimmed with lace and antique lace trimmed pants. She also has stockings and replica antique shoes.

This doll is ready to display and a highly desirable antique doll from the “King of Dollmakers”.
