This is a gorgeous antique German character baby that is a Kammer & Reinhardt/Simon & Halbig 126 mold. They are just the most gorgeous of dolls and I hope she finds a lovely new home!

She measures in length (and can be dressed as either a boy or a girl) approximately 17.5″ so a lovely sized baby. Her bisque socket head is free from any damage and is clearly incised with the makers details on the back of her head (see photos). She has her original sleeping brown glass eyes that sleep and her eyelid wax intact. The eyes sit upwards slightly but can be adjusted with tissue paper behind them to sit straighter but they are not too bad unassisted. She has multi stroked eyebrows and delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes as well as the usual red accent dots but are very faint in the corner of the eyes. She has an open mouth with a red tongue behind and 2 pearlised top teeth. She has chubby cheeks and a double chin with a little dimple. There are minor rub marks on the cheek blush. The wig and pate are original and the lovely wig appears to be made from human hair.

She is on her original composition bent limbed baby body that is in excellent condition and strung well.

She has been dressed in the finest of cotton christening gowns with inserted lace, ribbon and embroidery on the top. Underneath she has a vintage cotton petticoat, again with inserted lace, some pin tucks and embroidered work and wears antique pants and has a vintage pink bonnet trimmed with lace. Her clothing alone represents at least $100 in value. Please note the silver duck rattle she has been photographed is NOT included with the doll.

This is a beautiful example of these much loved character dolls and she is just ready to display.
