This is a fabulous doll that is rarely seen in this larger size of 24″ in height. She is a sought after flirty eyed character doll.

She was made by the German firm of Kammer & Reinhardt and is the 926 mold made in composition. The back of her head is marked with K * R, 926, Germany, 10. According to expert Jan Foulke this mold was taken from the 126 Mein Liebling doll. This doll dates to the 1920’s era.

This character doll has the most expressive face with her original blue glass eyes that open and close and flirt from side to side with the unique eye mechanism within her head. Most of her original “real” upper eyelashes are intact. She has multi stroked eyebrows and delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes as well as the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils. She has an open mouth with 2 upper teeth with a red tongue behind. She has an antique wig that appears to be made from human hair and likely had a haircut at some time. The pate is a replacement. The wig will sit better than when I photographed her when it is secured with a PVA based glue. Both have been removed to stuff the head to protect the eyes in transit. There is an area on her cheek that is worn (see photos) but is relatively minor.

She is on her original composition body that has wear as shown in the photos. One foot has tape around it where I believe composition had lifted but I have left it “as is” as could cause further damage removing it and it is hidden under socks. There is another area on the opposite leg where some composition is missing also and some rub marks around the upper leg area. This type of wear to a body is considered minor and does not affect the dolls value. Apart from what I have mentioned the rest of the body is in lovely condition. The ma-ma in her torso is non working which is normal for a doll of this age as they deteriorated with time and temperature. The stringing is good.

She comes wearing a vintage frock with a collar that is trimmed with lace. Underneath she has a petticoat, pants and also has vintage socks and soft later baby shoes. Her blue hat was added to match.
