FABULOUS 1930’s EFFANBEE SWEETIE PIE IN LARGE 24″ SIZE – BEAUTIFUL CONDITION
This doll is a 1930’s composition doll made by the USA company of Effanbee and is named “Sweetie Pie” or “Bright Eyes” and is the rarer amber eyed doll. She is 24″ in length so a great sized baby doll to display and looks fantastic in a pram.
Her condition is just fantastic with no issues to her composition head, or limbs. They have no crazing and are nice and bright with beautiful blushing and paintwork.
Her composition head has eyes that open and close with ease and also flirt from side to side and she retains her original eyelashes. She has her original caracul wig.
Her torso is cloth and she just has some repair work to the bottom of her torso (see photos) and a minor hole.
She comes wearing a gorgeous pale pink organza frock from the same era that is trimmed with lace and has some embroidered flowers down the front and has an attached satin pale pink petticoat. There are some age marks as to be expected. She also wears more modern white cotton pants trimmed with lace and vintage socks and soft shoes. Her silk bonnet is exquisite with some embroidered flowers on it.
