This is a beautiful early Oriental made hair pin holder and originally had a holder also for hair that matched it. I would say it would date to around the Victorian era as it was when hair pin holders and the like were very popular with Victorian ladies.

It is in beautiful condition and only been on display in my bathroom for many years.

It is totally hand painted and stands on little legs with an edging of raised gold dots.

It is stamped underneath H & S, L, Oriental.

It is a beautiful piece and displays well.
