This doll was made by Australian Doll Artist Valerie Tanner in 2015. She is a large and heavy doll that measures in length approximately 26″. She is signed by the doll artist.

She has a bisque head, shoulder plate, half arms and legs and the rest of her body is cloth. She is in perfect condition.

She has been painted nicely with blushed cheeks, stroked eyebrows and an open mouth with a row of painted teeth. She has stationary set brown eyes with “real” upper eyelashes and a Shirley Temple blonde wig in ringlets. The blushing on her arms and legs have also been done very nicely.

Her outfit was made just for her and is a classic polka dot cotton frock trimmed with ribbon and lace. Underneath she has a cotton petticoat and pantaloons also trimmed with lace and toddler sized socks and white shoes with one missing an embellishment. She was finished off with a red ribbon bow to her hair.

She will come in a vintage wooden rocking chair to sit in (but can be left out if the buyer does not want this chair). The chair has been hand crafted and in good, solid condition.

This doll represents many hours of work and is way below the original price it was sold for.
