ANTIQUE JAPANESE ALL BISQUE SIDE GLANCING GOOGLY TYPE DOLL – 6 1/4″ HEIGHT
This is an antique all bisque doll that is very cute and displays nicely despite it has minor chips as described.
She stands in height approximately 6 1/4″ and I have re-strung the arms with elastic as they were very loose.
She was made in Japan around the 1920’s – 1930’s era and clearly marked on her back. Her features are all hand painted and she has lovely molded hair painted blonde in marcella type waves.
She has a finger flaw to her right hand that appears to have been done in the factory making of this doll (they were mass produced) and has minor chipping around the socket hole on this same side. There is a piece of painting missing at the back of the head but does not appear to be a chip so again would have occured in the factory process when this doll was made.
