This is an antique doll that was made by the German firm of Armand Marseille and is the “Queen Louise” mould and is clearly incised on the back of her head. She is approximately 24″ in height (25″ counting in the wig).

The bisque socket head has no damage and she has lovely blush colouring. She has multi-stroked eyebrows and delicately stroked lower eyelashes as well as the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostril holes. She has an open mouth with original teeth. Her blue eyes are definitely replacements and have been set as stationary at some time in her life. Her wig is a synthetic replacement and the pate is also a replacement. These have been removed so I can stuff the head to protect the eyes/plaster in transit.

She is on her original ball jointed composition body that is stamped on the back of the torso. It is a little loose in the stringing but not too bad and on a stand has no problems.

She comes wearing a vintage frock that needs finishing off at the back and some soaking to clean it as it does have some age spots. Underneath she has some pants, long stockings and lace up black shoes.
