This antique doll was made by the firm of Max Oscar Arnold in Germany in the early 1900’s. She is 14″ in length and a very cute character baby.

The bisque socket head is free from any damage and she is clearly incised on the back of the head with “MOA (within a star), 150, Welsch, Made in Germany, 2”. She has her original blue glass sleeping eyes with multi stroked eyebrows and delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes. She retains her eyelid wax. She has the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and also her nostrils. She has an open mouth with 2 upper teeth. Her blonde wig is a replacement and is a lovely wig that is a mass of curls that cascades down her back. Her pate is also a replacement. These will be removed to stuff the head to protect the eyes in transit.

Her bent limbed composition body appears to have had a repaint at some time in her life with nails also painted. It is in lovely condition and strung well.

She has been dressed in a fine pink cotton frock trimmed with lace and buttons and has a matching petticoat underneath and pink crocheted vintage undies.

This is a lovely character doll and ready to display.
