This is an antique all bisque German dolls house doll and she is just over 4″ in height. She was in my own collection for a little while but I have now upgraded. She may have been made by the firm of Hertwig but I am unsure.

She would have been made around the 1900’s period and her bisque is a little rough which many were at the time from being mass produced for doll houses. She has her original price from when she was sold previously of $150 and then marked down to $130, so my asking price is much less than that.

Her arms and legs are wire jointed and she does have an incised number on her back.

Her facial features are hand painted and she has what looks like her original mohair wig that is attached by a factory made hole in the centre of the top of her head.

Her black boots are painted and she has painting to represent little socks that have been painted a little roughly.

Her bisque may clean up a little as I only gave her a quick wipe over.

She wears a lace frock that is from antique cotton lace and could have been made for her at the time as often these little dolls were originally sold nude. She also has a petticoat and pants and a little blue bow in her hair.

These little doll house dolls are hard to come by.
