This antique doll would date to around the 1900’s and measures in length approximately 14″ It is no doubt German made but has no markings.

The head is composition over what appears to be plaster as you can see in one of the photos where some of the composition has come off. She has stunning deep brown eyes that are stationary set and original and a gorgeous painted red mouth. She appears to have had a paint touch up to the nose which shows more in the photo because of the flash of the camera. Her mohair brown wig has been stuck firmly to her head and has a plait across the top and sides and rolled up.

She is on her original composition body that is in lovely condition and I would say for certain that the floral undergarment was her original shift type frock. It has a stamp on the front. The bottom of her legs are painted black to represent boots. The body is in good condition for its age with only minor chipping.

She comes wearing a lace frock that has been made from antique material and is just gorgeous with a ribbon tie around her waist. Underneath she has a silk petticoat and pantaloons as well as the original shift frock.

This is a lovely early doll with stunning eyes and displays beautifully.
