ANTIQUE GERMAN ARMAND MARSEILLE 390 – LARGE 25″
$295.00
This is a lovely large 25″ antique doll made by the German firm of Armand Marseille and is the 390 mould. She has no damage and is in remarkable condition for her age and would date to between 1900 – 1915. Any minor faults are listed.
She has a bisque socket head with no damage and her paintwork is just lovely with highly blushed cheeks, multi stroked eyebrows, delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes and the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils. She has an open mouth with teeth with one tooth a replacement for sure. She has her original blue glass sleeping eyes with lovely spirals in them and the eyelid wax is intact. She is clearly marked on the back of her head. There is some wig residue from her original wig and her blonde wig is a replacement, as is her pate, and suits her perfectly.
She is on her original ball jointed composition body that only has minor wear from a doll that was played with and is strung well.
She comes wearing a lovely frock purchased many years ago from the Liverpool doll fair that is antique in style. It is made from a satin material and trimmed with lace, ribbon and decorative buttons. Underneath she has a vintage petticoat and pantaloons along with stockings and shoes. One of the ribbons in the shoes has discoloured and could do with replacing.
This lovely larger sized doll displays beautifully.
Shipping is extra and not shown as will need to be calculated when packaged due to her size and weight.
