ANTIQUE GERMAN ARMAND MARSEILLE 390 AS DESCRIBED – 22″ HEIGHT
$225.00
This is a 22″ German made doll by the firm of Armand Marseille and she is the 390 mould. She would date to around 1915.
Her bisque socket head has no damage other than a small chip that appears to have been done in the factory making on one of the holes in the back of her head where her eyes would have been secured back in the day for transportation. Her sleeping eyes have been set stationary at some time in her life but she still retains her original “real” upper eyelashes. She has raised, multi stroked eyebrows, delicately painted upper and lower eyelashes and the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils. Her blush is lovely and rosy and she has a little dimple in her chin. Her human hair wig appears to be original to her and is quite a dry wig and the little bows in her hair are original also. The antique wig and pate are securely fastened so I will not disturb them.
She is on her original ball jointed composition body but again at some time in her life someone has given this a re-paint. Her stringing is very good.
She wears a floral frock made from a vintage cotton with lace trims. Underneath she has underclothing including pantaloons, skirt, and vest as well as long stockings and black shoes.
She has a very pretty face and displays beautifully.
