This doll is artist made and the head is from a Bru mould. He has been made up into a male groom doll and displays beautifully. I do not know who the doll artist was and believe he was made in the 1990’s era. He is a large 28″ in height so would be a lovely male doll to display with a female doll of the same height.

The head is bisque and he is on a quality composition mix body and these bodies used to cost over $100 in this size. It does have some wear to one of the joints as shown in the last photo which has occured due to tight stringing. It is stable but could be repaired and the doll re-strung but I have left it “as is”.

He has lovely blue glass stationary set eyes and hand painted features with an auburn wig.

The outfit he wears was made just for this doll and consists of a lovely jacket and pin stripe pants with a flower pinned to his collar. Underneath he has a onsie, long sleeved shirt and a vest. All of these do have age stains but cannot be seen because of the clothing over them. They have been laundered but I think to remove these stains the items would need to be bleached as these age stains can be stubborn to remove. He also has black stockings and gorgeous lace up black shoes.

This lovely groom is ready to display and represents many hours of work and would have been a very expensive doll at the time he was made.

Please note if intending to purchase this doll the postage will be more than the standard set rate as will be in the 4kg range and I will contact the buyer to discuss.
