This is a 1930’s composition Shirley Temple doll that was made by the USA firm of Ideal and is clearly marked on both her head and her body. She is 22″ in height.

Overall she is in good, solid condition but has suffered the usual crazing to her face and limbs that is common to these dolls but she is still a lovely example of these much loved dolls.

She has her original blonde mohair wig that has lost its ringlets and is in waves. She has clear brown sleeping eyes with her original eyelashes intact. The irises of the eyes sit up slightly but not too bad. She has an open mouth with her original row of pearlised teeth and red tongue behind. The blushing on her cheeks is nice and bright still.

Her body is in good condition aside from the crazing as mentioned and she is strung well.

She comes wearing a vintage cotton white and red polka dot frock that is trimmed with braid and lace. It does have some age stains on it and was made in the 1970’s era for her. Underneath she has white petticoat also trimmed with lace and netting and then what appears to be her original underclothes. The socks and shoes are vintage replacements.

Despite her crazing she is nice larger sized example and displays well.
