This is vintage English Cotton Lace for dolls dressmaking or craftwork and it also gets used by doll artists when lace draping as it melts in the kiln being cotton. I am selling in lots with several lots like this measuring 20 metres. It works out to $1 per metre which is really cheap but I just have so much of it that it’s time to move it on.

This lace is new “old stock” and is approximately 2.3cm in width. The colour is called Ecru and it’s like a bone coloured lace and nice and soft.

This lace originally came from an auction of a Melbourne Lingerie factory and had been in storage for many many years when the stock went up for auction.

I have also been told this can be bleached to make it white but haven’t tried it.
