These 2 dolls I know nothing about and could not find any similar ones when researching. I believe though they are Russian made and would date to the 1930’s or even earlier.

Both of them have composite mask faces that have then been painted. The rest of their bodies are cloth and a mixture of wood type filling and soft filling. Their hair is like a natural fibre of some type.

One girl has her original frock and necklace that has been crudely made and has some minor holes. She also has underwear. She has a chip out of her composition on her forehead and there is some wear to her feet area.

The other girl only has her underclothing and a brown ribbon around her neck and black coverings on her cloth feet. Her fibre hair has been styled into a bun at the back. She has a minor chip on her nose and minor wear to one arm.

These are unique dolls and it is always nice to have something different amongst a collection.
