1938 “HAPPY” DWARF FROM SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS – 1938 CHAD VALLEY
$85.00
This rare cloth toy was produced by Chad Valley, England around 1938 and is considered quite rare.
Chad Valley landed a license from Disney to be the UK producer of a series of dolls for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which was the studio’s first full-length animated film. Now among “the most collectable toys in the world” (The Woolworths Museum), the Chad Valley Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are a beautiful example of deluxe official Disney merchandise.
Happy stands in height approximately 8″ measuring to the top of his hat. He has a molded felt face with hand painted features and his clothing is made from cotton and felt. He has the Chad Valley label on his stomach.
He is in solid condition but with ageing as to be expected.
When these delightful fellows come up for sale they are usually much more than my asking price.
If you are a collector of cloth dolls or toys he is ideal for any collection.
