1930’s IDEAL (USA) COMPOSITION GIRL IN LARGE 21″ HEIGHT
This large composition doll was made by the USA firm of Ideal in the 1930’s era. She is 21″ in height. I do not know who this doll is.
Overall her composition is in good, solid condition and she retains all her fingers and toes. She does have some crazing which often occured in these dolls and there is a small area behind her left ear that has lifted off that I have shown in a photo. Her markings are clear on the back of her head and body. Her stringing is a little loose but not too bad.
She has sleeping brown eyes that have clouded which again is common for these Ideal composition dolls. She sleeps and has 75% of her original auburn eyelashes. She has an open mouth with 4 upper teeth and a red tongue behind and a little dimple in her chin. Her auburn wig is a later replacement.
She comes wearing a simple floral cotton frock only and could do with re-dressing.
This is a pretty doll and just needs a little TLC.
