1930’s COMPOSITION FLIRTY EYED DOLL – UNKNOWN MAKER – 20″
This is a 20″ composition doll from the 1930’s era that would definitely be USA made but I am unable to establish who made her. I can see she is marked with a number but nothing more.
Overall her condition for her age is very good with some crazing as expected from a doll from this era. Her original eyes are also crackled, again something that often occured with the dolls from this era and particularly those made by the Ideal Doll Company.
Her eyes sleep and flirt from side to side and all her original lashes are intact. She has a bobbed auburn wig that is a replacement that suits her perfectly. She has an open mouth with a red tongue behind and upper teeth. She has had no restoration.
She has been dressed in a lovely floral frock trimmed with lace and ribbon with inbuilt pants and she also has socks from the 1930’s era and more modern red patent like leather shoes.
She is strung well and just ready to display and a lovely doll despite her age faults.
