This antique doll was made in Germany around the early 1900’s by Ernst Heubach who made dolls between 1887-1925. She stands in height 17″ so a lovely cabinet sized antique doll.

Her bisque shoulder head is free from damage and clearly marked on the back. She has her original dark brown sleeping glass eyes with her eyelid wax intact but I did notice that one eye sits back more than the other but cannot be seen when the head is stuffed (as it was for the photos). She has delicately stroked upper and lower eyelashes with the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and her nostrils. She has multi stroked eyebrows and an open mouth with a row of little teeth. Her soft brunette wig with curls is a replacement as is her pate (head stuffed to protect the eyes in transit).

Her body is original apart from the cloth arms that are replacements. The body is cloth and is in aged condition with repairs as shown in the photos and no leakage of the filling. Her half legs and arms are composition with chips to the feet and ageing to be expected from a doll of this age.

She comes wearing a lovely mushroom pink reproduced frock trimmed with lace that does up with tiny buttons down the back. It is a little large for her around the waist area and could be taken in to fit more snugly. Underneath she has a petticoat and pantaloons, crocheted pink stockings and lace up black shoes.

This is a pretty cabinet sized antique doll that is just ready to display.
