This lavish Victorian bangle is a deep rich Yellow Gold hue and to my eye a faint tinge of Rose here and there.

The gleaming bangle is entirely covered with ornate floral decorations both top and bottom half. A band around both edges is highlighted in black enamel by a process first used in Victorian times called Taille D’epargne. This involves the application of a powdered enamel into the engraved area, which is then fired to achieve a permanent finish.

Stunning designs depicting lush, highly detailed flowers and foliage. The bottom and top of the big flowers overlap onto the black enamel bands.

The only fault is that there is a small area of the black enamelling worn (see first photo). This does not detract from it at all.

The floral work is perhaps one of the most intricate I have seen and is just stunning.

The clip is perfect and it also has a safety chain.

The bangle is signed on the inside with the maker’s mark for Dunn Bros who were established in the 1880’s. They created gold filled jewellery of the highest quality and specialised in Taille D’epargne.

The bangle has the soft, mellow colour of true antique jewellery, quite unlike the brassy colours of today’s modern jewellery.

This bangle will compliment both Rose Gold and Yellow Gold jewellery.
