ANTIQUE PIG ON SCROLL – AF – CIRCA 1900’s

$15.00

This novelty porcelain ornament of a pig on a scroll is from the Victorian era when these types of novelties were very popular.

Although unmarked this would be German made.

It measures approximately 11cm x 11cm.

This piece is damaged and is reflected in the price. When displayed the damage is not very visible. One ear has damage and there is a chip to one corner of the porcelain scroll that the pig sits on. The tail of the pig may also have been touched up but I am usure. There is also a rough little piece of porcelain that is just under the scrolls that has been done in the factory making.
I am unsure what this would have been used for but probably for keeping change on, hair pins or something similar.
